![]() ![]() ![]() And let’s hope that it doesn’t update on its own without any warning as thousands of programs already do that leave the application totally useless and that in many cases you can’t even go back to the previous version because it doesn’t exist on their websites. And of course, what’s the point of the old version informing me of a new version if it’s not usable on the machine I’m using and there’s not the slightest mention of it? I understand that you tell me that it exists, and that you need to update the system before you can install it. Both on the download page and in the help of the program should be indicated. I understand that this comes from the version of Firefox used, but it would be appreciated if you report those changes. It is possible that the requirements are even higher if they use new libraries. The disk image application has the forbidden symbol on El Capitan (10.11) and when double clicked it reports that it requires 10.12. ![]() Hello, nowhere have I seen that the requirements have changed. Ok if you can commit to a regular contract, mend PCs (if needed - replace hard drive etc) and install software that is not all plug and play. The cheapest method (mine) is a box (broadband + free calls to fixed phones), old PC (linux OS) and a fixed phone. Others manage with phone, no data, and have to visit the library in the next town to use internet. Most clients need the internet, use a PAYG phone( help from French state needs the internet) and end up paying through the nose for it. I volunteer handing at a food distribtion centre for the very poor. During COVID lock down people donated old PCs to children without a PC which were too old to be used (!) : I assume for MS/Mac OSs ?Ĭosts - Internet/data on mobiles devices expensive. OS upgrades which require a 'newer' device. I diverge but there is a growing internet/broadband access problem : ![]() Phone ? What phone/tablet ? Only internet access is a very old PC.
